Specialist professional studies – Business Informatics

•    Length of study: one year / two semesters

Study programme objectives:

•    to enable students to solve business problems using information technology and business application software, independently and in cooperation with IT professionals

Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of the study program, the student will be able to:

•    demonstrate the knowledge of IT applications in business,
•    demonstrate the ability to use software applications in business, and
•    demonstrate the knowledge of principles and procedures for solving business problems using information technology and business application software.
Admission requirements

In order to be admitted to the programme, the applicant must have completed:
•    basic applied studies
•    basic academic studies
•    basic academic studies under the regulations that were in force before the entry into force of the Law on Higher Education (2005)
•    college studies under the regulations that were in force before the entry into force of the Law on Higher Education (2005)

Applicants who have completed college studies in duration of 4 or 5 semesters under the regulations that were in force before the entry into force of the Law on Higher Education, shall be admitted to the programme with the obligation to collect the required number of ECTS credits in the basic applied studies prior to proceeding to this degree programme.

•    Applicants who have completed college studies in duration of 4 semesters under the previous regulations shall be admitted to the programme with the obligation to collect 60 ECTS credits in the basic applied studies.
•    Applicants who have completed college studies in duration of 5 semesters under the previous regulations shall be admitted to the programme with the obligation to collect 30 ECTS credits in the basic applied studies.

The list of compulsory and optional undergraduate courses in which the required number of ECTS credits can be gained is determined by the programme coordinator, based on the review of the previous education and work experience of each applicant.

All applicants are required either to take entrance examination or prove their knowledge and ability to efficiently use personal computers, related technology and application software by submitting “ECDL Start” or “ECDL Core” certificates (www.ecdl.rs).

Admission applicants are ranked on the basis of the average grade acquired during the undergraduate studies.
